About the Dallas County Program

In May 2025, Dallas County launched Texas's first employer match child care program, pioneering a new approach to addressing the child care affordability crisis in one of America's largest metropolitan areas. The program operates on a dollar-for-dollar matching model: for every dollar an employer contributes toward an employee's child care costs, Dallas County matches it with public funds.

The initiative was announced by Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins as part of a broader effort to support working families and strengthen the local workforce. The program provides technology infrastructure for enrollment, payments, and provider management.

🌟 Texas First: Dallas County's program is the first of its kind in Texas, serving as a model for other counties and cities across the state considering similar initiatives.
